Is Automotive Designing A Lucrative Career Option For Creative Indians?

To flaunt the latest stylish car in one’s own garage is the dream of every passionate human being! The brain behind the innovative and attractive designs is the automotive designer.

Automotive designers work in three main areas:

  • product design – designing and testing a part, ensuring it meets all its requirements and performs as required;
  • development – works closely with automotive engineers for development of the attributes of the automobile;
  • manufacturing – determining how to make it
Thus, the automotive designer is primarily responsible for developing the visual appearance and ergonomics of any automobile vehicle and also taking care of the manufacturing feasibility of the designed product. An automotive designer works closely with automotive engineers to adjust design elements with the core functionality.

Thus these figures reveal the exciting opportunity available for a qualified candidate in vehicle design. Automobile design industry is one of the highest paying sectors in India. A fresher can start anything between 3.5 lakh to 8.5 lakh per annum and with experience the package can raise up to 24 lakh per annum.
